Significant because people experiencing homelessness typically see wellbeing decline over time — On My Feet reversed that trend
Huber Social concluded On My Feet is "well-targeted and already achieving positive outcomes" with a program well-suited to the needs of its community
Top predictors of wellbeing: enjoyment of life (r=0.793), feeling safe and secure (r=0.732), family connection (r=0.732) — all areas On My Feet directly addresses
"On My Feet is a unique organisation. They are not motivated by money, status, or being judgemental of people they include. Because of this, the environment and culture they support and encourage is a model society needs." — On My Feet Participant

Annual Reports & Audited Accounts

<$1,250
average cost per person served
$1.25 million. 1,000+ Australians. Eleven years.

Every dollar raised through voluntary, community and philanthropic effort — no recurrent government funding — has produced outcomes at a fraction of the $30,000 annual cost of crisis housing. On average, less than $1,250 per person positively served. No investment in Australian homelessness delivers a comparable return.

Finish lines that
change everything.

More than 50 individual participant event completions were recorded in the period September 2024 to May 2026 alone. Across On My Feet's eleven-year history, hundreds of homeless and formerly homeless Australians have completed distances they never previously imagined possible.

50+
Individual event completions recorded in September 2024 to May 2026 alone — across half-marathons, marathons and ultra events — all completed by people experiencing or formerly experiencing homelessness. Across On My Feet's full eleven-year history, dozens have crossed marathon finish lines. Ian has run over 6,500km. Tara has completed the Melbourne Marathon numerous times. These are not just athletic achievements — they are evidence of lives rebuilt.
Social Enterprise & Education
Funding programs
while educating a generation.

On My Feet has designed its commercial activities to simultaneously generate revenue, educate students about homelessness, and build a pipeline of future advocates. This is not a side activity — it is a deliberate innovation.

University Program

On My Feet Business School — Social Enterprise Program

Undergraduate and postgraduate students from universities across Western Australia, South Australia, New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland are invited to register for On My Feet's unique Social Enterprise Program. Launched in 2018.

Each pair of students is partnered with a corporate mentor from Macquarie or Westpac, given a quota of OMF-branded exercise socks, and tasked with writing and executing a business plan — to sell more socks than any other team without discounting the price or accessing a marketing budget.

The program is simultaneously a fundraiser, a business education tool, a homelessness awareness initiative and a talent pipeline. Hundreds of university students across five states have engaged, learning about homelessness while raising funds that go directly to OMF programs.

Socks for Students — School Service Learning

Hale School, Scotch College, Iona Presentation School and St Georges Anglican Grammar have each contracted On My Feet to manufacture their school sports socks. Thousands of pairs have been produced, packaged with On My Feet branding and the story of homelessness, and sold to school communities.

As part of each arrangement, On My Feet — including a volunteer and a participant — visits the school to speak with students, who then undertake additional fundraising. Students wearing OMF socks at PSA sporting fixtures carry the story with them.

The result is a model where commercial activity funds programs, programs create stories, stories drive advocacy, and advocacy recruits the next generation of volunteers and donors. A self-reinforcing loop built by design.

Wear the mission.

On My Feet socks are more than a product — they are a conversation starter. Every pair sold funds our programs directly. Wear them at parkrun, at the office or at your next school sporting fixture and carry the story with you. Schools, corporates and individuals all welcome.
