On My Feet employs a unique and innovative funding structure to support its operations.
The organisation is 100 per cent volunteer based and our programs are cost-effective relative to the incredible impact they have.
The organisation is financially supported through multiple avenues.
- Social Enterprise
On My Feet is based on the notion of a hand up, not a hand out. This motto is the foundation of each of our programs and is also a sentiment found in our fundraising initiatives. Rather than purely rely on the generosity of donations, On My Feet established a Social Enterprise store selling high quality active, casual and business socks.
Through this sock enterprise, we can help support the operation of our programs with all profits reinvested into On My Feet.
- The Social Enterprise Program
The On My Feet Social Enterprise Program (SEP) is a national 12-week competition for university students whereby students form teams to create micro businesses selling On My Feet’s branded socks with all profits raised being directed to the charity.
During the Program, student teams work through three key phases of entrepreneurship; planning, pitching and pivoting, whilst being mentored from an array of experienced and skilled business professionals.
Accordingly, students are provided with an opportunity to immerse themselves in practical business development, from the conceptualisation phase all the way through to execution and completion of carefully considered business strategies.
The Program is held in Perth, Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne during the second semester of the traditional tertiary calendar and is reserved for the top 15 applicants per state.
You can find out more information about the Social Enterprise Program here.
- Global Marathon Initiative
In 2018, On My Feet launched the Global Marathon Initiative to raise funds to support our operations and to send high performing graduates of the Footsteps Program to compete in global marathons.
In 2019, On My Feet provided guaranteed entry into the 2019 TCS New York City Marathon, 5 nights’ accommodation and $1k flight allowance to 4 everyday runners who agreed to fundraise $10k each throughout the year for the organisation.
Further details can be found here and to register your interest in applying for one of these entries for 2020, please complete the Register Your Interest form here.
- Loyal and strategic partnerships
Each of On My Feet’s groups and structured programs offer opportunities for local and national businesses to support their operations.
On My Feet offers structured sponsorship packages that give businesses and support services innovative promotional opportunities in exchange for financial or in-kind sponsorship.
