Engaging participants in education that develops meaningful skills and leads to self sufficiency through employment is one of the key objectives of On My Feet.
Our assistance on education is free for those participants that commit to running with On My Feet, display discipline, determination, perseverance, a positive attitude and show a thirst for learning.
Professor Jamie Murphy and Laurel Horton-Tognazzini, with the Australian School of Management, have selected a list of online education programs in a range of exciting and in demand fields. We are delighted to work with our members to identify the program that best suits their interests and we have received approval to use certain libraries specifically for this learning.
On My Feet uses a free online course of study called Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs). If participants commit and complete any one of the hundreds of MOOCs on offer, they will enjoy the following benefits:
1. Be entitled to advertise the accomplishment on your CV
2. Develop skills that increase their chances of employment
3. Create greater self-worth through completion of the course
4. Enjoy the process of learning
5. In some courses, an opportunity to attend university to complete a Bachelors degree
The following list provides a small taste of what is possible:
Mental Health Studies
Outdoor and Physical Education
Nursing and Patient Care
We encourage our participants to dream big – we love a positive attitude and a will to succeed!
